• Medical Degree Full Professional registration as a Medical Practitioner (MB CHB) is essential.

• Minimum of at least 8 years’ experience as a Medical Officer is essential.
• Managed healthcare & public sector medical experience is desirable.
• Senior Management experience is desirable.
• Management Experience is essential.
• Must have broad medical knowledge.
• General business knowledge would be an advantage.
• Legislative knowledge – Medical (Personnel; facilities; Medical aid; Mine Health & Safety)
• Knowledge of management methodologies
• Valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate.

• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) would be an advantage
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Broad medical knowledge (the “medical science”) is essential.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Ensure delivery of affordable, appropriate, preventative, and curative healthcare to all Impala Medical clients.
• Identify and manage occupational health risks.
• Treating and management of paediatric, adult medical and surgical cases.
• Treating and management of trauma related emergencies i.e., injuries (IOD, MVA etc)
• Ensure effective case management of patients referred to provides (specialists, hospital)
• Ensuring that medical treatment of patients is cost-effective and acceptable
• Management of the disability claims process effectively.
• Adhere to safety practices, procedures and good housekeeping as laid down by management
