In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Produce and secure the distribution of pricing information (electronic media and catalogs),and maintains a library of systematic programs.
  • Research and Implement pricing adjustment throughout the company and the customer base.
  • Maintain accurate pricing data in order management and rebates systems including account setup and data verification; monitors the execution of pricing and price realization.
  • Participate in pricing improvement projects; supports various pricing projects such as vying product, market assessments, commodity costs indices, etc.
  • Create reports and investigations as needed.
  • Provide direct and prompt assistance to customers through various media (phone, email, fax, letter).

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Marketing, Strategy, Accounting, or related subject required.
  • Minimal relevant work experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Office Applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Educational experience in Data Analytics software such as Power BI and Tableau is preferable.

We are looking for a talented CUSTOMER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE to join our team specializing in SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING for our COMPONENTS BUSINESS SEGMENT in JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG, SOUTH AFRICA .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Collective cross-functional intelligence to validate and execute the demand plan and shorten the order to cash cycle. Aligns the supply plan with the demand plan and drives stability in the supply chain.
  • In charge of assigning customer accounts for the entire order life cycle (from new customer set-up, order entry/modification, escalations; duties might include logistics management) to ensure orders are shipped in time.
  • Act as the single-point-of-contact to Cummins’ customers, parts distribution centres and/or manufacturing plants and cross functional departments to process and fulfil customer orders; providing accurate documentation and continual communication to customer throughout the process.
  • Maintain accurate records of all internal and external interactions in the appropriate database/system.
  • Ensures customers comply with export polices and ensures required export/shipping documentation is compiled to the relevant legislation.
  • Acts as liaison between the customer and aftermarket and/or manufacturing location for quality issues; submit Material Non-Conformance or Process Non-Conformance.

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Degree in related field preferred.
  • 2 plus years of relevant customer order management, account management or in the supply chain field.
  • Computer literacy: Intermediate to advanced standard of computer skills with the ability to use office applications (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.

In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Power Generation Systems Knowledge – Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; interprets and analyses Power Generation system operation and integration (switch gear, power system controls, uninterruptable power supply, etc.) by applying tools, service publications (Cummins, Original Equipment Manufacturer) and taking measurements to efficiently and correctly diagnose and repair.
  • Engine Systems Interactions – Interprets and analyzes the interactions of internal and external electrical and mechanical systems (exhaust, heating, cooling, fuel systems, driveline, aftertreatment, controls, sensors, etc.) by applying tools, service publications (Cummins, Original Equipment Manufacturer) and taking measurements to efficiently and correctly diagnose and repair
  • Product Repair and Maintenance – Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair; disassembles and assembles engines or power generators following guidelines, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment; inspects and replaces parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customers cost of ownership; performs progressive damage check following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.
  • Electronic Service Tool Application – Identifies the suite of available hardware and software tools required for a service event; utilizes the appropriate electronic tool set to maintain the product or diagnose and troubleshoot an issue; interprets electronic tool results or recommendations to establish next steps for service resolution
  • Diagnostics Application – Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plan; troubleshoots issue following guided work flows, procedures, specialized equipment such as mechanical and electronic service tools, and diagnoses computer software to isolate failed components to enable a successful repair; validates repair by duplicating complaint to ensure it has been resolved; documents results of troubleshooting in business systems to communicate what has been done for payment and historical tracking.
  • Technical Escalation – Obtains product technical issue information and utilizes available resources including data management tools; elevates issues to a higher level of expertise, balancing timeliness of customer response with investigation efforts; captures all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database in order to ensure seamless transitions and accurate response to ticket resolution in a timely manner.

 

To be successful in this role the candidate will need the following:

  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician
  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Electrical background required – Panelling experience is advantageous
  • High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
