REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of B Eng/BSc Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in process machinery, gained in operations or commissioning of industrial process gas facilities.
  • Strong safety awareness, in particular concerning systems being energised for the first time during commissioning.
  • Working knowledge of API standards.
  • Experience in rotor dynamics and vibration-diagnostics.
  • Experience in rotor high-speed balancing.
  • Experience in torsional vibration.
  • Experience in machine performance analysis and turn-down limitations.
  • Experience in machinery process control logic.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating compressor surge-testing activities.
  • Experience in trouble-shooting machine problems on the run, with available instrumentation.
  • Time management abilities – able to multi-task.
  • Adaptability to migrate between equipment from many different suppliers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good report writing skills in the English language.
  • Organized and self-disciplined.
  • Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B/EB).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Jazan Senior Machinery Engineer will provide knowledge and experience on process rotating machinery to facilitate successful commissioning of the IGCC machinery-assets. They will function as part of the IGCC commissioning team, to bring equipment online in a safe, consistent manner in support of the overall IGCC project.
