Job Purpose
To Provide A Holistic Human Capital Service To The Organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment And Selection
Obtains Recruitment Requisitions From Line Management.
Compiles And Places Recruitment Advertisements Both Internally And Externally.
Consolidates Competency Based Interview Dimensions To Form Interview Guides.
Facilitates Screening, Shortlisting And Candidate Interviews For Line Managers.
Informs Unsuccessful Candidates Of The Outcome Of Their Interviews.
Facilitate The Vetting Process Of The Candidates And Conducts Reference Checks.
Prepares Recommendations For Successful Candidates Based On Interview Panel Inputs
For Submission.
Drafts Letters Of Appointments.
Negotiates Start Dates With Successful Applicants.

Requirements And Competencies:
3-year National Diploma In Human Resource Management / Industrial Psychology (Nqf
6) Or Related / Relevant Field.
Postgraduate Degree In Employee Relations/ Labour Law / Certificate/diploma In Dispute
Resolution Will Be An Added Advantage.
6 Years’ Experience In Human Resources Environment Which 3 Years Must Be In Labour
Relations Demonstrating Full Competence In All Areas Of The Er Value Chain.
Experience Working In A Similar Role In A Complex Unionized Environment.

1. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Identifying cost saving strategies and implementation of strategies according to Treasury
guidelines.
Interprets and projects financial information for all units.
Ensures all accounts, company expenditures and fixed assets are reconciled accurately.
Reviews general ledger and conducts monthly reconciliations.
Ensures all practices are compliant with CBE policies and procedures.
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account
information.
Ensures documentation of financial transactions through entry of account information on
system.
Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options.
Summarises current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet,
profit and loss statement and other reports.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
Compiles financial information for annual report.
Plans, manages and coordinates the entire external audit process and represents CBE in
being the main contact person during such audits

Strategies
 Assist In Advising The Cbe With Regards To Actions That They Need To Take Regarding
Human Capital Strategies On An Annual Or Ad Hoc Basis.
 Act As A Consultant To Them On An Ongoing Basis.
 Assist In Collecting Feedback From Line Managers Of Other Departments To Ensure
Monitoring Of The Human Capital Strategy And Its Integration Into The Functions Of The
Departments.
 Assist With The Problems That The Departments Experience With Regards To The
Implementation And Use Of The Human Capital Strategy, On An Ad Hoc Basis.
 Contribute To The Formulation Of Policies And Procedures In The Organization, By
Developing New Policies And Procedures, And Adapting Old Policies And Procedures When
Such A Need Arises.
2. Hc Support And Recruitment
 Act As A Consultant To Other Departments With Regards To Hc Issues To Ensure An Efficient
Hc Support Service:
O Conduct Regular Meetings With The Departments And Be Readily Accessible To The
Departments.
O Constantly Provide Relevant Updates And Information And Training If Necessary.
O Recruitment Of Staff In Accordance With Cbe’s Policies And Procedures And The
Relevant Legislation.

O Conducting All Recruitment Processes E.g. Place Advertisement Internally Or
Engage With Employment Agencies For External Advert.
O Coordinate Response Handling: Receive All Cv’s, Shortlisting Candidates, Prepare
Interviews, Conducting Interviews And Itc And Reference Checks.
O Compile Regret Letters To Notify Unsuccessful Candidates Or Compile
Documentation For Approved New Hire.
O Compile Letter Of Appointment/ Employment Contract
O Receive Signed Letter Of Appointment From The Candidate
