City Of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality Urban Design Officer Hiring Requirements:-
Minimum Requirements:
- A BTech or Bachelor’s in Architectural Studies or Urban Planning, recognised by the relevant professional accreditation body. – A postgraduate qualification in Urban Design (M.U.D. or M.C.P.U.D.) – A minimum of two (2) years’ relevant postgraduate experience required – A valid Code EB driver’s licence
Key Performance Areas
- Undertake project initiation, planning and design work and coordination as part of the City’s Catalytic Land Development Programme. – Co-ordinate the planning and design of targeted TOD precincts and public space projects and initiatives. – Provide input to the preparation of less complex planning and development initiatives. – Facilitate the preparation of urban design frameworks – Facilitate the preparation of strategies and guidelines in respect of TOD precincts and initiatives. – Assess and monitor compliance of less complex development proposals with urban design guidelines and policies. – Facilitate participation of relevant stakeholders in the development and adoption of urban design strategies, guidelines and TOD projects and programmes.
