Stellenbosch Municipality Trainee Operator Hiring Requirements:-
Minimum Requirements: •
- Grade 12 ● 1-year relevant experience
Responsibilities/Duties:
General operations of the wastewater treatment inlet works and all other process units ● Changing chlorine cylinders/tanks, when empty ● Rake manual screens, level waste skips ● Checking oil and fuel and refueling as needed, grease of prescribed points ● Check for loose bolts and nuts and tightening thereof ● General caring and neatness of machinery and pumps ● Take scheduled samples and undertake testing as per prescribed methods and practices ● Communicating with immediate supervisor with regards to plant conditions and operations and report unresolved issues and challenges ● Attend to the safekeeping of hand tools and apparatus used in the process, applying laid down instructions and guidelines to prevent theft and loss ● Works according to safety rules and regulations ● Report unsafe acts and conditions ● Participate in safety campaigns ● Promote Batho Pele principles.
