Minimum Requirements:
- Trade Test Qualification as an Electrician #
– Wireman’s Licence
– Completed SANS 10142-1 wiring Electrical installations code
and standards course
– 5 years’ post trade qualification related experience as per
KPA’s below within the Facility and Fixed plant
maintenance environment.
– Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
– Supervisory Experience
– Computer Literacy
– Valid driver’s licence
– Must not be colour blind or hearing impaired
– Must be prepared to work overtime and on standby duty
Key Performance Areas
- Ensure reliable operation of all Electrical repairs.
– Ensuring the effective, safe operation and maintenance of
all electrical equipment.
– Ensuring maintenance activities are clearly communicated
to the client to ensure un-interrupted service and
operations.
– Communicating work sequences and ensuring that the
team and contractors adhere to the rules and regulations
to maintain safety standards.
– Conduct an ongoing inspection (fault finding) of control
systems and equipment.
– Responsible for planning, prioritising, scheduling and
arranging materials and equipment.
