MosselBay Municipality Cashier Hiring Requirements:-
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience
• Valid code B driver’s license (manual vehicle)
• Computer literate (MS Office applications)
• Proficient in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape
• Physically fit and able-bodied with the ability to stand for long period
• Required to work afterhours and travel to meeting venues as needed from time to time
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Deals with telephonic enquires, personal visits and written enquires from
stakeholders/members of the public
• Forwards incoming documents to supervisors for perusal and actions
• Compiles monthly statistics reports
• Assists superior with relevant administrative functions
• Attends to specific enquires/queries with respect to traffic offences and fines
• Secures storage and safekeeping of all court documents/dockets
• Balances the daily cash-up sheet and ensures that the float is complete and accurate at
all times
• Receives manual payments, bail payments as well as other municipal by-law and traffic
contravention payments
• Informal and formal reporting
