• Matric

JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Ordering, monitoring and control of stock, materials and consumables, as well as obtaining and negotiating competitive pricing before placing orders
• Allocation of the above and responsible for ensuring the return and upkeep of stock
• Capturing of stock items, company and rental equipment/tools on the company’s system and implementing / following procedures, ensuring all information needed is correctly captured
• Storage of stock materials in a safe and efficient manner
• Housekeeping of stock and stockroom at the highest standard
• Managing weigh bulk materials and returning unused stock or offcuts
• Responsible for issuing of stock, company and rental equipment and tools as per job card numbers
• Fully responsible for ensuring safe condition of rental equipment and small tools on return and before issuing, rectifying faults as required
• Ensuring oil levels are correct and gauges working on equipment/tools and that all equipment/tools has calibration certificates, where required
• Stocktake at a minimum of 4 times per annum and ensuring correctly captured on company system
• Control and co-ordinate activities to minimise overtime or wastage
• Compliance with OHS Act and Regulations and ISO procedures

Qualifications

Essential experience
Deep understanding of financial and property metrics
  • 10 years in property management and development in Southern Africa and more specifically in the transport, Container and terminal logistics areas.
  • 10 years in a senior management position
  • Proven record of liaising and influencing at all levels of organisation
  • Understanding the requirements of banks to fund property developments in the industrial and logistics industry.
Preferred
  • Strong on commercial background (some legal knowledge to assess Lease and Purchase and Sale Agreements)
  • Working across South African Borders
  • Regular interaction with CEO/Board
  • Proven record of stakeholder and community engagements including SOE’s, listed property companies and financial institutions.
  • Property management skills- management of existing property portfolio
