BUSINESS PROCESSES 

• Safety & Health trends, requirements/exposures and determine the potential impact it may have on the sites and introduce mitigation measures and controls of residual risk to prevent loss.
• Identify SHEQ requirements and determine the impact they may have on the site.
• Implement requirements to align with Behavioural Expectations
• Identify learning Interventions and establish induction systems to support SHEQ Management System requirements.
• Audit, evaluate and direct sites to maintain ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and Certification
• Develop, align and implement Policies, Management Standards, Procedures, Protocols, Guidelines and Toolkits at Departmental Level (Chrome Level 7)
• Develop Learning Interventions to support implementation of SHEQ Management System requirements and facilitate SHEQ training courses.
• Facilitate external SEQ Audits, conduct internal SHEQ Audits and monitor and report closure on Audit findings.
• Report on the Performance of Site SHEQ Management Systems
• Investigate Significant Incidents and chair or participate in actual level 2 and 3 and potential level 4 Significant Incident Investigations
• Monitor and audit the Behavioural Monitoring Process at Site level.
• Maintain and evaluate the use and currency of the site’s IMS/EBMS/Chromedoc system.
• Facilitate the identification and assessment of SHEQ Risks and update the risk register.
• Report SHEQ statistics and information
• Implement SHEQ Projects
• Effectively manage relevant SHEQ contracts and contractors.
• Keep the sites abreast with relevant Legislative changes and ensure site wide legislative compliance.
• Establish, direct and monitor compliance to the site’s MOC processes and project deliverables.
• Establish and maintain a system whereby SHEQ related issues are effectively communicated throughout the site.
• Schedule and conduct follow up audits on the effective closure of actions that originated from significant incidents.
• Maintain and report Safety & Health statistics and information.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• B.Ed Foundation Phase or any other relevant academic and professional qualification,
• SACE registered,
• Minimum of 5 Years Previous teaching experience in a Pre-school environment,
• Highly competent in written and spoken English and Afrikaans,
• Thorough knowledge of South African Schools Act,
• Prepared to commit to the Christian ethos of the school,
• Computer Literate,
• Own Transport
• Valid Driver’s License,
• Valid First Aid certificate will be advantageous,
• Experience with school admin and finance would be advantageous,
• Experience with remedial education would be advantageous.
